ECE "To-Do" Checklist

BEFORE Beginning of the Year:

1.  Create data collection plan

    a) Create a spreadsheet of student/goals.

    b)  One folder per student with all probes you will use for the year.  Date each probe.

2.  Schedule Arc Dates

    Arc Date Spreadsheet with: student name, Annual meetings,     Re-Eval meetings, transition meetings, Invitation List- reg ed,  related service providers, 

3. Get forms ready

    ESY forms, goal graphs, letters of introduction to parents, phone call log, data collection forms.

4.  Create a spreadsheet of State Assessment Accommodations

      State Assessment Spreadsheet:  Name, disability, list all accommodations.

5.  Instructional Plan for goals

       Instructional Plan:  Where you will directly teach the “SDI” or Specially Designed Instruction.

6.  If needed, create behavior strategies (point sheets?, token economy, rewards, etc)

 

Beginning of the Year:

1.  Complete ESY  

    ESY has specific form that needs to be completed for each goal., attach data/probes given for each ESY form.

2.  Call parents-introduce, share how to contact you, ask strengths and concerns for students, ask what is rewarding/reinforcing for student.:  Phone call           log

3.  Start Data collection 1st full week of school.  This data will be used for ESY.

 

Throughout the Year:

1.  Progress monitor each goal weekly (check with Allison)

2.  Progress reports each grading period-send home with report cards

3.  Graphs with data analysis/Progress Reports to be placed in due process folder (On-Going Progress)

4.  Any state (norm/criterion referenced) assessment copied and placed in due process folder (On-Going Progress)

5.  Call parents periodically with positive praise of student or concerns.  Make sure to include positive phone calls home.

6.  CALL PARENT while creating IEP for parent input!

7.  Before Re-Evaluation-send home psych report and let them know it is coming and that you are available for questions.

 

End of the Year: 

1.  ESY Data again with ESY form/graph/data attached/8 probes for next year for each goal.

2.  Check your due process folders (use compliance document)

3.  Farewell call to parents

4.  Process starts over---get prepared for the following year.
